October is

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a vital time to centre women’s voices, stories, and leadership in the fight against breast cancer. At the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership, we recognize that every diagnosis is more than a statistic — it is someone’s journey: a woman, a mother, a leader whose path has unique challenges and strengths. As we join global calls for awareness, early detection, and equitable care, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering women to share their stories, drive change in health systems, and ensure that no woman’s outcome is determined by where she lives or what resources she has.
